What is the Benefit of Whitelisting Conversion Pixel IP Addresses?
If you are using server-to-server tracking with Postback URLs, you can whitelist your Advertiser’s IP address(es) that will be sending the Postback URL to CAKE. Whitelisting IP Addresses in CAKE for the purpose of conversion tracking provides two main benefits:
- Preventing fraud by only tracking conversions from the whitelisted IP addresses and ignoring all others
- Increasing the limit of 8 conversion pixel calls per second per IP address to 20 conversion pixel calls
How to Add IP Addresses to the Whitelist
To add your advertiser’s server IP address(es) to the Pixel Whitelist, follow these steps:
Advertiser main tab
Click the Pixel Whitelist sub‑tab
Click the Add button
Select the Advertiser from the dropdown
Select an Offer Name or All Offers for that Advertiser
Input the IP Start and IP End for a range of IP Addresses or input the same IP Address in both fields if there is only one address
Tick the Active checkbox
Type in a Note for record‑keeping
Click the Update button
