What Is Tipalti?
Tipalti is an accounting software that empowers CAKE users to send commission payments directly to affiliate partners.
When enabled, Tipalti offers a self-serve model of issuing payments via the CAKE Accounting module.
CAKE users must sign up independently with Tipalti to gain access to their platform.
How To Enable The Tipalti Integration
To enable the Tipalti integration within CAKE, follow these steps:
- Submit a support ticket to CAKE requesting to enable the Tipalti integration
- Request your Tipalti Payer Name from Tipalti
- Navigate to the Setup Main Tab
- Within Settings, click the Third Party Integration Settings tab
- Within the Clearinghouse Settings section, apply your Tipalti Payer Name
- Click Save
How To Update An Affiliate's Billing Type To Tipalti
Once Tipalti has been enabled, you can optionally configure individual affiliate partners to receive their commission payments via Tipalti.
To update an affiliate's billing type to Tipalti, follow these steps:
- From the Home Tab of the Affiliate Card, click on the Billing & Payments Sub Tab
- Select Tipalti from the Billing Type drop down
- Click Save
How To Make Tipalti The Default Billing Type
As new affiliate partners are added to your network, you may want to default their billing type to Tipalti so that you are not manually assigning each affiliate.
To make Tipalti the default billing type, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Setup Main Tab
- Select Third Party Integration Settings
- In the Clearinghouse Settings section, set the default billing type to Tipalti
- Click Save
