This lesson will walk you through Importing Offers with our Import Tool. This tool will allow you to import Offers from another CAKE Basic client, rather than setting the Offers up manually from within your instance. Importing Offers can be done from the Admin Portal, as well as the Affiliate Portal.
Where to Access the Import Offers Tool (Admin Portal):
To access the Import Offers tool from your Admin Portal, hover over your Advertiser Main tab, then Offers, and select Import Offers.
Import Offer Wizard
Once the wizard opens, you wil be asked for three pieces of information.
1) CAKE Basic Domain: This is the domain of the CAKE Basic client you would like to import from.
2) Affiliate ID: This is your Affiliate ID in the other client's instance.
3) API Key: This is your API Key from the other client's instance as well.
Where to get your Affiliate ID and API Key
When you log into the other CAKE Basic client's Affiliate Portal, at the top of your dashboard is a Reporting API button. If you click that button, a window will open up, and you'll be able to grab your Affiliate ID and API Key.
Import Offer Window
Once you've added the information on the wizard, you will see a window of Offers from the other client that you have the ability to import. You will notice there are a few different status options for the Offers.
Ready: This Offer is ready for you to import
Public: This is a public Offer in the system, but you have to choose to run it first, before it will be ready for import.
Apply to Run: Before importing, you must request permission to run this Offer.
Pending: This means you applied to run this Offer, and you are awaiting approval.
Imported: This Offer has already been imported into your instance.
You can select any "ready" Offer to import, by checking the checkbox to the left, then clicking the Next button.
*All Offers imported at the same time, will need to be imported under the same Vertical. If your Offers are under different Verticals, you can either import them separately, or change the Vertical from within your instance after the fact.
Import Offer Details
The next, and final step on the Import wizard will ask for more specific details about how the Offer should be imported.
You will be asked to select:
Offer Status: How you want this Offer to show in your instance.
Vertical: The Vertical you'd like this Offer (or Offers) to be imported under.
Advertiser: This will be the company you're importing the Offers from.
Default Payout: What you would like your Affiliates payout to be.
Offer Link Parameters: This section allows you to append parameters to all of your links. As you add parameters, you'll be able to see what your new link will look like next to "Example".
Place Pixel: This will automatically place your pixel into the Campaign card of the client you're importing the Offer from.
Media Type: This will allow you to choose Allowed Media Types for this Offer.
Clicking Finish, will automatically import the Offer into your instance.
Where to Access the Import Offers Tool (Affiliate Portal):
Log into the Affiliate Portal of the company you would like to import the Offer from. On the Offer card, you will see a Marketplace tab all the way to the right. **Note: you must have already been approved to run the offer. Within the Marketplace tab, you will select your company name on the right where it says "Network." Once you've done that, click Next.
Import Offer Details
The next, and final step on the Import wizard will ask for more specific details about how the Offer should be imported.
You will be asked to select:
Offer Status: How you want this Offer to show in your instance
Vertical: The Vertical you'd like this Offer (or Offers) to be imported under.
Advertiser: This will be the company you're importing the Offers from.
Default Payout: What you would like your Affiliates payout to be.

Check for Active API Key
Both methods require an active API key in your system. You can check for an active API key under Setup > Permissions API Keys that you currently have an active API key. Active will be indicated as Green.
