An Affiliate is the source of your traffic. You can be your own Affiliate as well. Affiliates drive traffic to your Offers in the form of a Campaign.
Adding an Affiliate is the forth step in the workflow process. An Affiliate is the source of the traffic to an Offer. To add a new Affiliate:
- Click on the Affiliates Main Tab
- Click on the Affiliates Sub Tab
- Click on the Add Affiliate button
- The Add a New Affiliate Wizard will open
Add a New Affiliate Wizard - Explained
An Affiliate only requires a Name. All other information on the Wizard can be added or edited in the Affiliate Card at a later time.
Name: This is the Name of the Affiliate. The Name can be changed in the Affiliate Card.
Media Type: This is a drop down that contains all available Media Types. One Media Type can be selected in the Wizard, but multiple Media Types can be selected within the Affiliate Card. The Media Type for an Affiliate can be used to filter which Offers are shown to the Affiliate in their Portal.
Price Format: This is a drop down that contains the 5 Price Formats in CAKE Basic. One Price Format can be selected in the Wizard, but multiple Price Formats can be selected within the Affiliate card. The Price Format for an Affiliate can be used to filter which Offers are shown to the Affiliate in their Portal.
Status: An Affiliate is either Active, Inactive or Pending. Only Active Affiliates can send traffic to a cupCAKE Unique Link. Inactive or Pending Affiliate’s traffic will be redirected to the Global Redirect.
Contact Information: The New Affiliate Wizard gives a user the option to send login information immediately to the Affiliate. An Affiliate will need both an Email Address and a Password to login to the Affiliate Portal. - Multiple Contacts can be added in the Affiliate Card.
