What Does It Mean To Email Leads To A Buyer?


CAKE offers email delivery as a method of pushing leads to your Buyers. This option is available if the Buyer does not have a platform to receive leads via direct post or, this can be setup in addition to a direct post integration should the Buyer request an email backup of each lead.



How Do I Email Leads To A Buyer?

 

If a Buyer wants leads emailed to them, you do not need to setup any additional post delivery information other than an active email address.


To email leads to a Buyer, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Buyer Contract card
  2. Click on the Delivery Method tab
  3. Under the Emails To Send Leads To section, click Add
  4. Type or copy/paste one email address
  5. Click Update to save

 


Note:

If multiple email addresses are added, each lead sold to that Buyer Contract will be delivered to all the email addresses listed. CAKE does not round-robin between the email addresses.



What Is The Default Lead Email Template?


CAKE has one default email template/format that is used when emailing leads. Every new Buyer Contract that is added to the system will use this template unless a custom template is specified.


Below is an example of the default lead email template which uses email tokens to dynamically populate information about the CAKE client, Buyer Contract, daily lead cap, and the lead itself.




How Do I Add A Lead Email Template?


If your Buyer needs a different format and/or information other than what is provided in the default lead email template, a custom email template can be created.


To create a custom lead email template in CAKE, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Setup main tab
  2. Navigate to the Email Templates sub tab
  3. Click Add Email Template
  4. Name the email template
  5. Optionally, choose a From Address or leave blank to use your system default From Address
  6. Tick the box titled Is Lead Email

 



How Do I Customize The Layout Of A Lead Email Template?


To customize the layout and information in the custom email template, follow these steps:


  1. Add A Subject name
  2. Type or copy/paste the custom email template format into the open text box
  3. Add in any of the dynamic email tokens where applicable
  4. Click Save




How Do I Apply A Custom Lead Email Template To A Buyer?


To set the custom lead email template for your Buyer, follow these steps:


  1. Navigate to the Buyer Contract card
  2. Under the Home tab, click on the Post Information sub-tab
  3. Scroll down to the Email Template dropdown and choose the name of your new template
  4. Click Save
