Application Name
This is the name that will be associated with your network. Affiliates, advertisers, and buyers will see this as your company name. This name is displayed throughout the application, including all emails, notifications, and in the header.
Application Domain
The application domain is the URL that you and your partners will use to log in to your CAKE platform. Upon logging in, each entity will be directed to their respective portals. The application domain will also be used for API calls to your CAKE platform. This should be a unique domain dedicated to your CAKE instance. We recommend you register a new domain vs. using a subdomain of a previously used domain.
Example application domains:
partners.networkname.com (requires advanced configuration with yours and the CAKE team)
Your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with the DNS settings specific to your CAKE system.
Tracking Domain
The tracking domain is the URL that will be used within affiliate tracking links, conversion pixels, and lead posting URLs. This should be a unique domain dedicated to your CAKE conversion and lead tracking. We recommend you register a new domain vs. using a previously used domain.
Example domains:
networklks.com
ntwklks.com
Note:
Your application domain and tracking domain(s) cannot contain the word “cake” in either the root domain or subdomain.
Additional tracking domains can be configured to segment traffic from one offer to another, or across partners. All tracking domains will be pointed to CAKE via the Domain Name System (DNS). Once configured with the CAKE Technical Team, these domains will be used when specified for an affiliate or offer.
Your Onboarding Specialist will provide you with the DNS settings specific to your CAKE system.
Reporting Time Zone
The reporting time zone is used to timestamp all statistics within your platform. If you change your time zone at a later date, there may be overlap or gaps in reporting because previous data has already been time-stamped with the previous time zone setting.
Currency
The currency for your platform will be used for all revenue and cost recording, and accounting functions within your platform. You can also choose to enable multiple currencies for which you would need to manage the changing of exchange rates manually.
System Admin Contact
The system admin contact will be the representative at your company who will receive high priority communications from CAKE, such as SubAffiliate reporting errors and third party integration errors. Only one email address is supported, so if this message needs to go to multiple recipients, you can provide an email alias that forwards to multiple representatives.
Language
All CAKE applications will show the English language by default; if more languages are needed, a member of the Client Services team can enable them for you. Admin and affiliate users can customize their portal language in their contact settings. Available languages include:
English
Portuguese
Spanish
Dutch
Korean
French
Arabic
Italian
Note:
If any word in a non-English language setting is not translated, that word will be displayed in English.
Date Format
Depending on your company’s location, you might prefer to see dates formatted in a different way. With CAKE, you have the option to specify your date format during the onboarding process. Date format options include the following:
DD/MM/YYYY
MM/DD/YYYY
YYYY/MM/DD
SMTP Email Settings
CAKE provides you with the ability to configure your custom email relay server for sending communications from your CAKE system, including login credentials for new users, emails to partners regarding their campaigns, as well as alerts for administrative users and affiliates to receive updates about traffic patterns.
Your Onboarding Specialist will work with you to collect the following email settings to help configure your SMTP relay service within CAKE.
